Festival de las Flores de Limon de Campana

Limon es quizas la comunidad mas vistosa en la republica de Panama,
gracias a sus panoramicas majestuosas del oceano pacifico y de las montañas incluyendo el primer parque nacional de Panama, Altos de Campana.

Alrededor del 90% de los Limoneños comparten una vocacion: el cultivo de flores,
plantas ornamentales y plantas medicinales. Una vez al año, la gente del pueblito preparan juntos un festival para exponer cientos de variedades de flores, plantas, pequeños arboles, con musica, bailes, comida y artesanias.

Windsor-Detroit is the busiest border crossing in North America, thus Windsor is Canada’s primary gateway to the United States. In fact, Windsor was originally called South Detroit, as it lies on the South side of the Detroit River. The name “Detroit” comes from the French and literally means “of the straight” or “on the river”. Even with strict border controls, it seems impossible to separate these two cities, which function together like Yin and Yang as opposed to identical twins. Both cities have a prominent manufacturing sector, thanks to the invention of Henry Ford. Windsor factories produce a large portion of the parts for all three major Amercian brands of automobiles. Windsor is the home of the most successful casino in North America, and so many Detroiters enjoyed it that Detroit followed with three of its own casinos. Detroit certainly has the nicer skyline, which is ideally enjoyed from the Windsor side, hence the photo of our American counterpart is one of the most recognizable images for Windsorites.

Kuna means “person” and Yala means “mountain” in the language that the kuna tribe calls dulegaya,  “our dialect”.

The Kuna People

The Kuna People have many valuable traditions, including an ancient healing system that has defied both cancer and heart disease. The Kuna’s natural medicine is called Tuleina. The Kuna word for ‘doctor’ or ‘healer’ is Nele. When addressing this person, Nele is used as name and title. The Kuna Tribe is matri-lineal, paying special respect to the woman.
